The manufacturers website only lists up to ryzen 2nd gen, so I do not think so.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Picasso Ridge is not 3rd gen. If you are interested here is the list of what is a Picasso Ridge cpu: https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/cores/summit_ridge

It’s possible as some a320 did have bios updates I just didn’t see any for your specifically. Also, there are 2nd gen ryzen 9 so it could’ve just added support for those.

Wait...by MSi lists that the A320M PRO-E supports Ryzen 3000-series CPUs...

Is there a mistake on MSi's end?

That said, I agree with others about putting a high power draw CPU on that motherboard.

However, the Ryzen 3100 or 3300X may be something possible, though.

If there is, it most likely is just not listing 3000 series in the main page of the motherboard.

Thanks for sharing that, I had not seen it when looking for supported cpus

I mean a320 isn’t supposed to support ryzen 3000, so I wouldn’t bet on it, but I mean it could...

but more than likely I bet this is a mistake

As we have said, I wouldn’t recommend it. The most you can get would probably be a 3600 and that would be pushing the VRMs close to the MAX.
