Its a perfect match, can even go for a 3300X or 3600 and still no issues. :)

There will be no bottlenecking in sight with this config, but for productivity I would not go AMD GPU as the driver issues will probably cause you to lose your progress at one point or another, I would go with something like 2070 super instead. May be a bit worse with pure performance but the extra features and stability is certainly worth it.

what do you mean by the drivers would case me to lose my progress?  are they unstable/bad because right now on my laptop I have a amd gpu and the drivers are so good and look so nice. Please explain

will a 3700x cpu cause bottlenecking with that gpu. and is a 3700x better than a 3600x

sorry im new to this kinda thing

I am a first time builder and was worried about bottlenecking with a Amd ryzen 5600x or 3700x and a GPU MSI Radeon RX 5600 XT Mech gpu but Some people said it won't bottleneck

and i believe them but A comment said I should use a nvidia 2070 super for a gpu cuz of the driver problems and I would lose all my data.

can you please explain the problems with a drivers. because I have an amd gpu right now and the driver looks soo good. please help me figure out what gpu to use.

As far as i know, the 5600xt driver issues have been fixed long ago. I think its fine to go with it. And no. You wont bottleneck a 3600x even with a 2080ti or 5700xt.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

CURRENT PC SPECS

CPU             Ryzen 5 3600 (Formerly Ryzen 3 1200)

What? The driver issues were with the RX 5600xt, the RX 5700, and the RX 5700xt, if you have an older card it likely didn't have the same issue. Drivers are software so I don't know how it looks really good if you can't see it.  Anyway I digress, the driver issues were fixed with an update and should no longer be an issue.

It won't bottleneck any of those cards.

i'd go for an RX 5700XT and a 3600.

The drivers for Navi were terrible at launch, blue screens , black screens, crashing, weird colors. But AMD released a patch and everything is really good now, No need to worry.

NOTE: I'd wait for ryzen 4000 and navi2x/RTX4000 before building my machine, as we are near their expected launch and they seem to be really promising in terms of features and performance. And maybe you can get a discount on older parts if you want to save some money.

100% false, graphics drivers won't make you lose data.

It's the next generation of GPUs.

navi2x is a codename that represents the upcoming AMD GPUs that are to launch soon. (RX 6000 series)

RTX4000 represents the upcoming NVIDIA GPUs that will launch soon too. It's codenamed "Ampere".

Also AMD will also release the ryzen 4000 CPUs really soon.

These next gen products are promising in terms of features (Ray-Tracing on AMD cards), and performance (rumored to be more than 50% increase)

I advise you to hang onto your current rig and wait for the new launches.

It will be really worth it.

EDIT: prices for the new stuff will be near that of the current gen. but also when new stuff releases (or directly before release) the previous gen tends to go on heavy discounts.

for example before the ryzen 3000 launch the previous gen ryzen 7 2700x was found for 200$-150$ ( it launched at 329$)

It's going to be near the same cost, and previous gen parts will go on discount, but the performance increase is worth it.

If you are streaming then i'd go for a 2060 since it has the NVENC encoder.

It is, but the next gen RX 6600XT will probably come in at the same price with much better performance and features.
