Logitech G305 not working

My friend gave me a logitech g305, but it is not working. I put a fresh battery in and turned it on, but when I plug in the reciever Windows says it's an "unrecognized device"

 

I've tried the Logitech Connection Utility but it says that there is no wireless receiver plugged in, What else could I do to try and fix it

have you tried it on another computer? or install either LGHub or LGS?
