Does Windows Vista Support Video Hardware Acceleration?

Renton577

So I've been putting together an older nostalgic rig and I put Vista on it and for the life of me I can't get hardware acceleration for videos to work. I have the latest drivers for Vista and using the newest Firefox for it as well but YouTube for example doesn't have GPU accelerated video. Is there possibly a browser I don't know about that supports it with Vista Support?

If its a nostalgia rig, is it really necessary?  It really shouldn't be online anyway.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)

Using newest Firefox? Like newest for Vista or overall? Firefox dropped support for Vista years ago. There was another thread just while ago discussing best browsers for older Windows.
