I checked max temperature for nvidia gtx 1050ti and i7 8th gen and it said max temperature for gpu is 97 degrees and cpu is 100 degrees . Then i observed that the temperature recorded while playing Star wars: the fallen order was 89-90 degrees for gpu and 90-95 degrees for cpu. I read somewhere that this temperature falls under dangerously hot. So is this temperature okay or i need to do something??

The gpu would start thermal throttling under that temp. Does your pc have no airflow?

It does have a dedicated fan and i make sure to use it on a hard surface. The service center informed me that they have done the repasting, and the temperature is this now.

First of all

Make sure the cpu cooler is seated correctly and make sure there is sufficient thermal paste

And for the GPU make sure the cooler is applied correctly it could very well be a incorrectly mounted cooler

you sure? My quad core used to shut down when it hit 80 mark. Maybe it's different max outs now for newer CPUs.

Yes I'm sure

Why does your cpu shut down at 80 that could be alot of things

But 80 is a perfectly good temperature

Anything over 90 is bad

Old Quad Core extreme on an even older DDR2 board. Refused to play above 75, would sound alarms and shut off. Safety mechanisms if you will. It might vary vendor to vendor, but at max most CPUs shouldn't be going above 80. I play top end and hardly reach 75.

I already did that. I mean the service center claims that they did it. They cleaned the fans and did the thermal repasting.
