If this has been asked before I'm sorry. Point to the threqd and I'll check it out.

 

I'm starting to plan out a small form factor build. I'm probably going to go with a slim Silverstone case. They all have a CPU cooler height limitation of 83mm. I think I will wait to get the 4000 series Ryzen for my main rig and reuse my 3700x for the SFF build.

I'm wondering what low profile cooler people recommend for a build like this.

Edit: AIO would be out of the question.

I have the nh-l12s cooling an I7 2600 in an nzxt h500 and it's doing a decent job and that case is usually not kind on cpu temps.  The cooler have a good look and overhang the ram so make sure your ram is not too tall with big heat spreader (below 35 mm tall) if you want to use the cooler in low profile mode (70 mm tall) with the fan under it.
