PC Build Recommendation

Budget : 8000TRY

Country: Turkey

 

The system will be used as a gaming/programming rig. The games are generally simulators (like TSW) and Cities: Skylines (Heavily modded)

 

I'm currently thinking about this system:

 

Ryzen 5 3600

MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX or comparable B550 mobo

32GB 3000MHz RAM

Palit GTX1660Ti Dual

Cooler Master MB511

FSP Hydro K 700W

Noctua NH-U12S

looks good, my only recommendation is the power supply as you don't need a 700w  for that system. A 500w psu should handle everything well.

Not bad, but are parts really expensive in Turkey? 8000 Lira is 1200 USD but this build is more like a $900 build, especially considering you have no storage or case. It's a good build though, you just need a case, SSD, and a better power supply.

This isn't a good recommendation, as power supplies should be bought based on quality, not wattage. FSP Hydro-K are not good units, though the Hydro G, Ge, and G Pro are fantastic. Hydro K are terrible.

This isn't a good recommendation, as power supplies should be bought based on quality, not wattage. FSP Hydro-K are not good units, though the Hydro G, Ge, and G Pro are fantastic. Hydro K are terrible.

Definitely my bad. The system has a 480GB A400 SSD from Kingston but I apparently forgot to write it. The case is a MB511 and is written on the thread. As for the PSU, the only other units availabe in a similar price range seem to be the VS550 and a Non-K Hydro 700 (at least from the site I use). I'll be looking at other sites later today

What is the Non-K Hydro's model number? Honestly a Hydro G, GE, or G Pro for the price of a shitty Hydro K is a steal, unless they just overpriced the fuck out of the Hydro K there.

The only model number mentioned in the site is HD700. I think that's just a Hydro K without the K. Is the VS550 any good?

@Aereldor There's a FSP Dagger 650W and a Hydro G Pro. The Dagger's cheaper. Any ideas on what to choose?

What is prices for Radeon cards? You can probably find a better contender from the other brand if you wanna maximize performance per turk-dollar.

They're both good but the G Pro is outstanding. How much more expensive is it?

The 5500XT is available for about $110 less but probably won't handle modded C:S. The 5600XT is about 50$ more but the performance difference is not that much (at least from the benchmarks I've seen)

With the current system + the Hydro G 650, the price is about 9k Lira. That's a bit above my budget. Would I lose performance downgrading to a 3300X?

Considering you're going to be modding your games, which is usually CPU-intensive, then yes, you will. Is there a way to source parts from the US, or any sites that may have them cheaper?

There are absurd tariffs for imports, so getting them from other countries is not an option unfortunately
