HDMI switch 3.5mm audio output switched around

Hollander25

Hello,

I've recently bought a HDMI switch so whatever device I'm using gets displayed on my monitor. It's also possible to connect a 3.5mm audio to it so you can get audio from whichever device is currently on display. The problem is, the audio channels get switched around. Meaning audio that is meant to be on the left is on the right and the other way around. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this problem and knows a solution. Or could it be a defect in the device itself?

You can send audio over HDMI so you shouldn't need the 3.5mm, if it's injecting the audio into an HDMI signal you're out of luck and the only fix is to change your speakers around but if it's going to RCA switch them around and audio will be right way up. I think you can probably switch sides somewhere in the Realtek stuff but I refuse to touch it and wouldn't know where to look.
