Budget (including currency): $400-$500 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games like Call of Duty/ Minecraft, running python files, general computing/web browsing

Other details: This would be my first build ever, so I'm not necessarily looking for the most glamorous build. Just a decent system that will mainly get me some experience with building a PC. The $400-$500 range is without peripherals.

There is some wiggle room if you would rather get a 1TB SSD.

I tried to piece one together and I just couldnt get a decent system for 500 right now with cv going on and prices going up, I can suggest lyte gaming but thats the most I can do. also neither of the ones above me have a dedicated gpu so I wouldn't get them if I'm going to game and I don't think anything at 500 dollars would run the newer cods very well

It’s apparently supply chain issues.  The parts are produced, they just can’t get here. Nexus mods did a piece that talks about it specific to power supplies.   I also just watched a patriot act that did one involving supply chains in general.  It’s not specifically about that, it  Talked about meat and Covid transmission mostly, but the pertinent bit here was supply chains.  Most of that last doesn’t apply for this specific problem.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
