Do you mean the ones used to connect the apple keyboard to? Its basically another port for those apple devices

Yeah those are used to attach the separate keyboard accessories that apple makes

Oh, looks cool but my wallet has a PTSD from Apple devices, is the accessories are reasonably priced or do they go Overkill?

Personally, I don't own them so I can't speak for quality

 

The cost from what I can see is around 150 dollars, so not really worth it unless you are planning to use an ipad as a main laptop or something. There may also be non-apple ones that are compatible for cheaper which might be worth looking at as well
