I just bought a b450 ds3h with a 3600x but i need to update the bios in order to use this cpu first. would a ryzen 3 3200g work for this or is it still to new?

Is this image on the motherboard box?

If yes, then you can install the 3600x right away.

If no, the 3200G probably can't boot either. but worth a try I guess.

If you can't boot with the 3600X, you won't be able to boot with the 3200G as BIOS doesn't support the 3000 series.

You'd need to get hold of a 2000 series processor or get a PC shop to update it for you.

What videocard are you using and is your monitor plugged into there?

Directly to the motherboard wouldn't work, so you don't need to try that again.

Make sure the videocard power is plugged in, your monitor is set to the right input too.

Also, check your cables. 24 pin, 8 pin EPS, GPU's PCIE 6+2 pin power at the very least.
