Any way to Record windows desktop using Geforce experience?

I know you can record any unsupported nvidia games using the Nvidia control panel, but how do you Record your screen instead of games, using Geforce Experience.

Yes, you need to enable desktop capture in the settings. 

IDK where exactly it is because I haven't used GFE for years.

I don't seem to find this option (enable desktop capture)

Usually It says ''a supported game needs to use this feature''.

If you have a laptop you won't have this feature

OK I found it. Open GFE, clikc this

 

then on the right click the SETTINGS wheel.

 

Scroll all the way down to Privacy Control and there you can enable the Desktop Capture.

Right click on the Setting wheel in-game overlay opens something?

i tried that but it didn't work, also if you meant the menu in the middle the last thing i see is the notification.

not right click

 

click the button I pointed at with arrow, it will open an overlay, then click the settings wheel on the right in the overlay

I did scrolled down and checked the hole menu for Privacy control but i didn't find any  

Do you know another way to open that? @WereCat

Ill search in the nvidia forum for this problem, thanks to let me know what i got missing.

If you've got a laptop for some reason nvidea doesn't have that feature for the mobile gpus

Sadly I learned that the hard way 

When I got a laptop I tried recording non supportes games with h.265 and the only way you can do that is with desktop recording and it wasn't available

do it with OBS then, use the NVENC encoder with OBS and you can do everything like with Shadowplay just have to use a different application, it will also use the same resources

And it will look Sharper 

Since imo nvec h265 looks so much better than the old h265 encoder

Wait you can actually record any unsupported games by Adding them in the nvidia control panel and automatically you will see your overlay working, my problem that i couldn't capture my pc desktop but not games.

Well the desktop recorder is the "unofficial" way of recording unsupported games that's why it is such bummer it's not available with laptops
