No HDR signal from PC to Monitor

Hi,

I just bought the BenQ EX2780Q monitor which supports HDR and connected to gtx 970 via a miniDP to DP cable, but when i go into Windows in Display Settings, HD colour Settings it says it does not support it.

Also checked in dxdiag.

Also lowered in Windows the refresh rate from 144hz to 120hz, but still nothing.

 

Any ideeas?

hmmm your 970 only has dp 1.2. maybe a bandwidth issue?

try lowering to 60hz if hdr is enabled then it is a bandwidth issue

 

i also see this
"Displayport 1.2 is capped at 60Hz 2160p" from other threads about res and hz. most quoting from nvideas site.

not sure what res your trying to run
