Looking for a better connection

I'm using wifi on my computer, and I gotta say, its not the best. I know our internet is way better than what I'm getting. So where can I get a decent powerline adapter or whatever its called so I can have ethernet in my room?

Can you not just run a wire? Personally I have never had good luck with powerline adapters.

Powerline can be worse than Wi-Fi. Both in speed and reliability. Most/All are only 100mbit and their reliability depends on the quality of the wiring in your house. Better off setting up an AP somewhere in another room nearby. Or if you can run a cable external to your home to your bedroom that'd be best.

Try wiring an ethernet cable.

I've had powerline adapters overheating and losing connection in the past.

Same here.

27meters of ethernet and a few drilled holes in walls later and now i dont have any connection issues

If you own the building, you can run gigabit ethernet. Even if it means running the cable outside, up the wall and into the level you need it.
