GPU for a triple monitor setup

I've been working on the specs list of a build for a friend who wants a powerful gaming PC. They told me recently that they want triple monitors (I have no idea why), and I was considering the best GPU to buy. I had considered 2 GTX 770s in SLI, but I've heard that SLI has had some problems lately, so I was wondering if a single GTX 780 is a good option for three 1080p monitors (or a 780Ti maybe?). I would like some help with this as I dont know a lot about using multiple monitors.

Many thanks, FizzyFantom :)

770 SLI? Wut? A new computer should always have 1 strong card, so it can be upgraded effectivly by adding another card in SLI when it gets older. Yeah, 780ti or 780.

780 Ti for sure if gaming on 3 monitors. SLI will always have its issues and it's best to avoid it if you can.

Thanks very much for quick responses :)

Would a single 770 be able to drive three 1080p monitors well, or would you suggest a 780?

770 will be able to drive monitors but a 780 is a huge step-up
