Hello, i have a pretty decent pc but im looking for an upgrade on my cpu. Right now i have a gtx 1070, and almost anything i play game wise, i get my cpu maxed at 100%. From what ive read, the new Ryzen 3 3300x is a great price to performance cpu and is what i was looking to get. I would need a new board, but i have absolutely no knowledge on motherboards. My budget is about $300 USD for a board, cpu and cooler, but im willing to spend a bit more if it means a serious improvement. If there are any good boards, cpu's, or cpu coolers that you would recommend i would appreciate it. Thanks.

I agree with @VEXICUS, the 3600 is a better choice, even if you have to deal with the less-than-ideal stock cooler. If you can save up a little longer to get one, even better. You could also check out eBay for a used one, however AMD CPUs are a lot more risky to buy used.

Wait a week for B550 then get a B550 Pro4 and a 3300X paired with DDR4 3200 2x8GB

B550 doesn't really give him any advantages that he's likely to use. I wouldn't bother waiting.
