5700 xt vs rtx 2060 super vs 2070 iam building my first pc wich gpu is a good choice for a r5 3600 and why ?

 

note this 3 gpus are almost cost at the same price

Unless you plan on Ray Tracing or NVENC encoding for streaming the 5700 XT is the best option

Does that really matter? I use OBS with Vega 56 to stream all the time... :I (Also what game uses RTX is worth playing?)

5700xt basically wipes the floor with these guys. The drives still can be a bit iffy, and some people love their rtx, but really the 5700xt still wins. You might want to wait for the Next-gen GPUS coming from Nvidia and AMD later this year (q3 or q4, july-ish to december, probably closer to july-october), Ampere and Big Navi will be great.

i don"t stream and i will never, but that ray tracing i don't know in future it may be or will be supported by all games

RTX currently is a gimmick like PhysX unless Nvidia, AMD, Intel & Microsoft work at a unified DX12 standard for this it will NEVER be a requirement for gaming...

Not really. RTX should be a novelty (and a gimmic) item for a long time, and if you turn ray tracing on, you're basically sh\-|!t!ing on your performance (for at least this gen). Basically remember that first-gen tech is usually pretty crappy, and it's there just to prove a point, mostly. RTX cards are first-gen tech, and whenn you turn Ray tracing on, it really shows that it's first-gen.

with rtx 2070/ 2060 super you really cant run rtx well with decent setting. on 1080p on everythin low you might run rtx games (inculding minecraft) with 60 fps. mayby

Maybe upgrade your monitor, down the line. What we're saying (at least for now) is that the 5700xt outperforms the 2060S and 2070, which is the orignal question you were asking. Any major issues preventing are not present.

 

Why mention that you have that type fo monitor now, when  you asked for the best performer? I really dunno. But back to the point: for the price point the 5700xt outperforms the other two cards, and is a better value- with no major setbacks.

I have a R5 3600 and I purchased a 2070 Super.   I mainly went with the 2070 Super due to driver instability with the 5700XT cards at the time. 

 

The 2070 Super has been a great card though and I don't regret buying it all. 

 

In my opinion, I think the real question is - do you want to buy a GPU now or wait until the next generation GPUs show up.     What is your plan on upgrades?   If this is a temporary replacement for a year or so - get a 2060 super.   If this is a multi-year GPU and you don't want to wait, then pick the 5700XT or 2070 Super.   The choice will really be up to you.

Really?  Iin most games that I have seen reviewed, the 2070 Super outperforms the 5700XT not by much - around 5% usually.   As always, some games will run slightly better on the 5700XT.  

 

Did AMD update the drivers to get more performance out of the 5700XT?   I am really interested and will want to review the updated tests.

The 2070 Super has been a great card though and I don't regret buying it all.

its my first time building a pc i have been saving for months at first i was going to get a r7 3700x + 1660 super/ or 5600xt i was afraid upcoming games will demande 8cores and everybody said 6cores is enough for gaming so i choose to get r5 3600 + 5700xt will this build will last at least 2 years ? for 1080p60fps ?

I was remember the pricing of the 2060, not the Super.   You are 100% correct.  Get the 5700 XT over the 2060 Super.  Same price but a lot better performance.

Easily. Either will last that, but a better GPU will matter much more in gaming.

OP is referring to normal 2070 not the "super" variant

I really hope so.  That is my plan as well with my R5 3600 and 2070 Super.   The 5700XT will definitely last the same amount of time as well.  So if you are comfortable with the 5700XT, then go for it.   You should not be disappointed.

Wow, did I misread the post.  My mind automatically added super to it...

 

5700XT all the way in my opinion since we are comparing the non super  models.
