I recently got gta 5 for free on the epic game store. I don't have a problem with any other game but this one is performing very strange. Running above 60 fps causes stutters and fps drops but both my gpu and cpu are running below 80% with the occasional cpu usage jump to 90. Running at vsync eliminated the drops and it runs relatively smooth apart from the input lag. Is there any way I can run the game without vsync or is do most people have to use vsync in game. My specs are i5 8400 vega 56 16gb ram and 500gb ssd

Running with or without vsync, I only very rarely experience stutters - at about the same rate on both settings. What clocks are your CPU and RAM running at? (some of my games stuttered before I overclocked mine)

My specs for reference: (i5 6600k@4.5GHz, GTX 1070 FE, 16GB DDR4@3000MHz)

Ddr4 ram is at 2800mhz what settings do you run at.

1080p, everything at high, 4x MSAA (TXAA off, FXAA off), no extended distance scaling or resolution scaling - but the other advanced settings on.

I get roughly 100fps on average (sometimes around 120, other times around 80 - depending on scenery)
