Hi, i am looking for an upgrade on my CPU and Motherboard. At the moment I have a gtx 1070  paired with a i5 7400 and 16gb of ram, I mainly use my PC for gaming (playing call of duty modern warfare currently) I have been recommended the Ryzen 5 3600 and 3600x and was wondering if the performance difference was worth the extra £50

I have a budget of about £350-£400 for a motherboard, CPU and power supply has anyone got any other recommendations?

you could go with stock cooler, but the stock cooler is pretty loud.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

If the 50 quid difference you're talking about is between the 3600 and 3600X, then no, they're basically the same CPUs. The 3600X might boost slightly higher out of the box, but mostly because it's got a better included cooler. When you put the same cooler on both though, they'll be equivalent in terms of performance.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+
