so im kinda clueless on this topic but when I try to access downloaded games on my switch, it tells the the sd card is corrupted. the first thought I had was reformatting but then im pretty sure I lose all my save data so i'd like to avoid that. also I connected the micro sd to my pc and all the files seem in tact and where they need to be but idk if moving them around would harm it in any way so im apprehensive on touching it. google searches led me to a lot of websites just telling me to pay for their proprietary data recovery software which seems kinda unreliable but i'd like to try and fix this without having to bring the card to a data recovery center. also for further context this is the micro sd card of my hacked switch so the file layout is a bit more elaborate then a standard switch as hard cus it has a emunand OS on it.

if the sd card is corrupted, doesn't that mean the data is also corrupted? or is it fine since I can still navigate through all the folders in the sd card directory when on my pc?

Most sd cards or flash devices will allow you to back up everything for some time even when writing to it seems impossible. With flash storage most likely there is an issue with the onboard controller that gives you that error. As long as the data can be translated you can read off the device. I would get everything off that card and then onto a new one asap. Don't wait to long as flash memory will degrade over time. Even unplugged, given a high or low ambient temperature, even sooner than you might think.

Maybe, maybe not, point is to try without modifying the original card

If that doesn't work then try to put just the save files and redownload the rest and hope the error wasn't in the save files...
