CPU Usage Spiking

Can anyone help me diagnose the problem with my CPU. 

 

Was running Cinebench R20 today and noticed that my CPU usage keeps spiking from 100 - 20% every second.

 

Would appreciate any help.

That is because you are running  Cinebench. As cine bench focuses on CPU that's  the reason  it is spiking. Incase if it spike when u are not doing heavy projects then there is an problem.

But why won't it stay at 100%? At the start of the test it stayed at 100% for 30 seconds. Is my CPU overheating?

Both my CPU usage and my CPU temps are spiking.
