No-ip DDNS not working

Oren Dekel

I've tried to set up DDNS for my server with no-ip. I set up my public ip and I port forward port 80 and 443 but when I tried it I just landed on Check Point SSL network extender. I don't know what I did wrong, can someone help me?

depending on your internet connection port 80 and 443 are usually blocked on the isp side for residential connections.maybe hosting on different ports will get around this.

and are you using the no ip DUC and is it updating your ip

you could pick ones that are unused and set up to connect that way if it will ports to be configured server side

But there's only one port for every protocol, no?

from hosting game servers over the years its more of a default than a set in stone rule. so if hosted a service on port 2000 instead of port 80 you would type in yourhostname.ddns.net:2000 if your server is port forward and set to listen on that port it should connect and not be blocked by your isp but it would depend if the software can be configured to do so.

Where are you trying from? Your own network connection or outside your home like a phone on 4G?

that's why, you need to check from outside your network. Routers won't let you go out and come right back in (hairpin) in most cases
