Linux replacing OS X on Macbook?

Hi guys!

Can i install Linux on a 2011 MacBook Air running OS X Mavericks. So delete OS X and only run Linux?

If yes, how do i do it?

Thanks!

Yes, it is very possible, just remember that if you delete osx, you won't be able to get any firmware updates for the notebook. What distribution do you want to run? The installation process would change between distros.

Just dual boot? Linux makes it easy to recognize other OS's.
