Best gpu to pair with this cpu ?

Athlon II X2 B24

Upgraded 10 gigs of ram 

1tb HDD

Currently has zotac gt 520 1gb synergy edition, and while running resident evil benchmarks , this card dosnt even max out at 50 FPS , and gets lows of 6 all I. The same settings . Im almost 100 the bottleneck is the gpu . This system is somewhat of a surprise gag gift for a buddy , so I don’t want to completely break the bank you know ? I already chopped this case up worse then Linus so cutting is an option , just a very painful and long process with freaking wire cutters lol I can post pictures of “frank” when he’s all said and done so you all can laugh , but before you guys get a laugh , could I get some help ;)?

You can't really do much with that. It's a 10 year old CPU that goes for $25USD. I wouldn't spend any money upgrading it tbh.

Depending on what you can find used, a GTX 950 or 960 maybe or the equivalent GTX 760 would work fairly well with that CPU, although I'd consider upgrading to a X4 CPU. However you may have to upgrade the power supply.

Given what you have now, even a GT1030 would be a huge upgrade.

I have a asus 1030 that isn’t being used that I could toss in there , and it dosnt cost me anything because I traded a go kart for it over a year ago I also have a 660ti that I paid 75 for , asus gtx 770 -100$ , asus gtx 580 -100$ , a gtx 960 I got in a deal with mobo case and ram , for 120$ . I don’t want to toss in the highest end graphics card , because I’m giving it away , so what would be a comparable card , that I have or have access to ?
