RAM running slower than expected with XPM

Go to solution Solved by The_russian,

This is a pretty common thing asked about on the forum, basically it is showing the correct speed. DDR stand for double data rate, so if the memory speed is shown as 1200MHz, it is really 2400MHz.

My memory is supposed to run at 2400, which is also indicated in BIOS, but when I log into Windows my RAM runs much slower. I have set my XPM Profile to Profile1 in BIOS.

What about DRAM frequency at the top?

The 1197.6 MHz? That's also normal, frequencies are usually rounded, for example my ram is reported as 1499.3MHz, not actually 1500MHz or 3000MHz.
