Boot ssd?

What is the best ssd for me to use as my boot/os drive, i can spend around 100 bucks? Thanks in advance

Id probably try to get a midrange nvme drive like a sn550 500gb

I don’t know if it is worth it geting a m.2 or SATA but if i get SATA if it should be 2.5

Just a quick reminder that M.2 is a form factor, it can be SATA or PCIe NVME.

 

What capacity do you need to your SSD to be? If you're a normal user, an NVME SSD is probably overkill.

I would say at least 500 gb but i think SATA i just fine for me

Old PC don't have it, only the last 3 years.

If you're just gonna boot and load apps then I would consider the Crucial BX500 series or Samsung 860 QVO. These are both SATA, you will not see any benefit for use cases like this with M.2.
