I want Elon to etch a dickbutt into the Lunar surface facing Earth.

I bet governments will invest in space travel then.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Starlink pans out.

We’ve got to live long enough and Elon has to remain sane enough, but yeah.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

It shouldn't take too long, they planned to do a beta testing mid 2020 with 2021/2022 as a launch date for service. Could take longer but 2 - 3 years isn't a big deal for something at this scale imo.

That would be great, but I'm sure ISPs will do everything they can to keep they're hold on consumers. It's just the unfortunate state of things.

Also seeing the Falcon 9 successfully land the first time actually felt like being part of history of significant importance

Elon isn't an upgrade over monopolistic cable companies, though. While nobody can argue whether or not he's incredibly smart, he's certainly anti consumer/employee to a significant degree.

Remember, this is the guy that just a few days ago tried to extort California into letting him break all of the guidelines and force his employees back on the line. It's the same dude that got on Joe Rogan the other day and floated conspiracy theories that covid fatalities are being exaggerated. He's the same guy that invented micro transactions for cars, forcing you to pay thousands after purchase to unlock features that are already in the car, same guy that cripples smart features on the car if you have the audacity to buy it used, etc.
