yeah, I get that, but its impacting my preformance, I run like 60FPS in tarkov, when I should be able to run 120

So the video card is not being 100% utilized you mean?

Yes, but it cant be 100% utilized because my GPU caps its temp at 50C

No, its not the Gpu temp. The video card is super way overkill for that game. Escape from Tarvok is more processor hungry.

What resolution?

Ok so I think maybe the issue for you if its stuck at 60fps, vsync may be turned on. Look for this setting and disable it in the game.

Are you running the game in Windowed Mode by any chance?

Games needs to be on Full Screen / Main Focus, otherwise it can throw off the GPU, and run it at lower power states (e.g. not full 3D gaming mode).

Oh yeah, RTX 2070S is way overkill.

GTX 1060 was recommended for high / ultra settings, high frame rates at 1080p and 1440p.

A i7-8700 is recommended for that combo, so this game is more CPU reliant.

No...Mobo should not cap anything on the GPU.

It can cap the temperature on the CPU, but no way the GPU.

Yes, GPU should be in the top PCI-E X16 slot.

IDK, what are the chances of getting bad 2 times in the silicon lottery? because I had a different GPU from MSI, I have a strix now, the MSI card was a 2060S. And it caps on my friends system, which has the same mobo
