Beyerdynamic DT 770/880/990

Hello to anyone who is reading this. I need a bit of help finding out which headphone out of these three; Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro and Beyerdynamic DT 990.

 

I will be using them for gaming and music. I do not want/need an amp, or a DAC, if there is any difference between the two. I do not mind 10 foot cords; I can take care of that easy.

 

I want bass, but not too much. I also want to hear footsteps as well. Closed, Semi-Open or Open, I don't mind. Max budget is ~$300, and I live in Australia. If anyone can help me on this headphone quest, that would be very much appreciated!

Idk about the price in AUS, but depending on your source it is going to be probable that you will need an amp.

Well shoot, I dun goofed! Technically, you can custom order any impedance you want, but you're right - there's no mass market 80ohm DT990.

What about 80 Ohm DT 770 Pros? Are they good for gaming and music?

 

Also, most modern phones have a *decent* DAC that can handle 250 Ohm headphones, but I'm just saying no until it's actually true.

 

EDIT: ShearMe answered this question in the thread  _ASSASSIN_ posted up top. I decided to get the DT 880 Pros (250 Ohms) Thanks for helping me on this quest!
