3300x vs 3600

I am building a new pc soon and I was debating on buying the Ryzen 5 3600 or the Ryzen 3 3300x. The motherboard I want to get is the Asrock B450 Pro4. What should I get?

firstly, I would get a x570 board or wait for the b550 release, to be able to upgrade the cpu to the 4000 series in the future.

secondly, if you're gaming only, the 3300x should be enough. (what gpu are you using?). but if you have the budget, the 3600 is more future-proof.

$700 CAD

given that youve already got a gpu i'd recommend waiting for b550 to come out and getting a 3600x with some good ram

Would going for a 3600x and X570 board and the extra money would go to extra ram be a better option

I don't think your ram decision should change either way. Regardless you should go with a 16GB 3600Mhz. A 3600 will only net you extra performance, in workstation like processes, not games.Just spending $700 CAD on a 3300x setup is way too  much for that gear.
