I am planning on repasting my laptop as it is outside of its warranty period now and figured it might help drop temps a bit. Plus I've heard factory thermal paste is garbage. I was just wondering what would be a good thermal paste to get? I've looked around the web for a while and a lot of people suggest Kryonaut and MX-4. I've also heard that some thermal pastes tend to dry out due to the different mounting pressures that laptops have, so I want to know for sure if I get something like Kryonaut, will it make a good enough difference to be worthwhile? And if so, will it last at least a year or two before needing to be replaced? And for the record, yes I know that it probably wont make a massive difference (probably no more than 3-5 C), but like I said, it is outside of its warranty and I have the money to burn so why not. If you need my specific laptop, it is a Predator Helios 300 PH-315-51-78NP.

MX-4: will dry out fast in many laptops

Kryonaut: only works well in good heatsinks aka heatsinks with relative flat and even mounting pressure
