I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

Would threadripper 2970wx be better then the 7980xe with a trx40 mobo that supports future upgrades to 3rd gen/4th gen threadripper? I would perfer to go HEDT platform for the higher pcie lanes

If you want future support, why buy an ancient Threadripper? Get a 3960X and call it a day

Just because it's cheaper and it can use the same motherboard as the 3960x
