what should i go with whats better should i just stick to samsung since i already got one or is the firecuda 520 better?

8000$ - im already well into it got a case mother board ram psu  monitor....

am i going to need an ups? or what ever there called

I was talking about your total budget for storage.

UPS, matters where you live. I so rarely have the power go out I don't have one but it isn't a bad idea assuming you get a good quality one.

I'd grab a 4-6tb X300 and a 1-2tb 860 evo. no need for NVME unless you doing 6-8k video editing.

samsung pretty bad value. for the money you pay for 500gb 970 evo you can get as fast ssd with 1 tb capacity.
