Is 500w enough????

Arvensus

I currently have a CoolerMaster 80+ Bronze 500w PSU but I'm not sure if it will work with my new build.  Also, I plan on swapping the X570 board with the B550 upon its release.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

500W is enough, but that is the absolute worse power supply you could possibly get.  And it's certainly not worth $80.

If you're in the U.S., this is going to be the best bargin while they're still in stock:

Lose that NVMe drive, much more affordable options in the 1TB for $100-$120 range.

Get your Windows and Office keys on Ebay or similar, save a LOT of money.

Not sure that's the x570 I'd go with, but not sure if I read it's not the best, or if I dreamed it.

As for the PSU, someone more knowledgeable will have to speak up.

Already own the PSU.  I guess I'll just cough up a few more bucks for a new one.

Bought the 500GB WB Black SN750 for $60 on sale already, great value to me.  I plan on buying the keys on ebay or g2a and the X570 was just put for reference.  I'm going to swap it out for the B550 in June.

Ahh, makes sense.  next time fill out the 'price paid" aspect, so it's more accurate.  Cuz for $150, there's no way it's worth it.

In your post, you say that you have a Cooler Master 80 PLUS Bronze PSU.

In your PC Parts Picker list, you have a cheaper Cooler Master listed.

Which is it?  What PSU do you ACTUALLY have?

And if it's "80 PLUS Bronze", which one?  What model specifically?

Ok.  That's a little better of a PSU.  Not great, but will work since you already have it.

But next time you upgrade your graphics card, retire it.

Got it, thanks!
