corsair carbide 275r. In the front sits my rad for my cpu. On top is one fan which blows fresh air in and at the end is one fan that blows air out.

Thats really weird. Can you check GPU fans for dust? Or for some other problem? You can easy change the sapphire fans.

Sapphire nitro plus is the coolest and quitest GPU who i know.

your case doesnt really have a good airflow. ANd one thing, the 5700 XT really isnt any hotter than Nvidia relevants od not lissen to that guy. you just dont have good airflow.

so the top gets air in and the back out? does the ran pull air in or out?

if it pulls in that is your problem. the air is already warm when it enters the pc.

The problem is:

your fronnt doesnt have good enough holes for air. so your cpu isnt getting enough air. And the air that coems in the case is alread warm.

buy another fan on the top. change the fan at the back and the fans in the top for inhaust. And the front for exhaust and try if it works then.

If you think that your GPU do not get enough thats joke, and guess what just try to touch back side plate on your GPU, you will get burning scars :) its AMD they known work oin high temps am not saying those temps are bad for them, problem is that that someone who buy AMD think that is bad if that GPU run on 70c thats normal

the temps are okay, its the noise. Thats why i bought the sapphire one

Type of response that is just waste of time. If you dont want to help dont responde.

Ok now for the important part.

1 - Make sure that the front rad is not pulling hot air inside of the case, it will get loads of hot air for the gpu not good.

2 - Have the latest drivers

3 - You can lower the voltage a bit, and then raise the % power you will get better temps and better clocks.

Check on youtube on how to oc 5700xts with UV.

Hope this helps.

oh I forgot you can use the Auto undervolt also it works well.

My Sapphire NITRO+ R9-Fury would like see you.

To be honest, having own Dual-X / Vapor-X / NITRO+ GPUs from Sapphire (e.g. 5850, 6870, 7950, 2x 7970s, 2x R9-Fury), I had no issues with Sapphire cards yet. Of course, I've encountered coil whine, but that is not Sapphire's fault -- its the inductors / chokes components on the card.

Aren't the RX 5700-series GPUs programmed to Boost itself as high as possible?

Stumbled across a thread saying since Vega VII, the GPUs are programmed to boost as high as possible, until it reaches max power limit.

Or 110*C / 225W, which ever comes first.

I had to help a buddy with his Gigabyte 5700XT yesterday, because it was reaching 94*C junction temperature in-game using all auto / default settings.

According to Radeon Software, under Performance > Metrics, the GPU was peaking at around 197W ~ 200W, and boosting up to 1950+ MHz.

Gigabyte's spec page says the GPU is supposed to boost UP TO 1905 MHz.

image.png.1d81d4a27a64e3d6e4aa0e30b82390f6.png

What I eventually end up doing was setting up a semi-custom fan curve in the Radeon Software, and to keep it simple for my buddy, drop the Max Frequency to -15%, leaving voltages untouched. Doing that dropped the GPU temperature to 62 ~ 63*C, and GPU Junction Temp to 72*C. Even with the -15% drop, the GPU still boosted up into the 1850+ MHz range. Changing the Max Frequency slider to -10% obviously allowed the GPU to Boost even higher, and Junction Temperatures were up to 76 ~ 77*C (approx 1*C for every Frequency %).

Also note, he had everything in a Fractal Meshify C with only the included 1x rear fan, and 1x front fan.

I personally by "overclock" didnt mean the factory boost. Although the temps are not alarming and nothing to worry about  I presume TS has engaged into some OC which would explain the louder fans because a nitro + should play RDR2 at about 65-75C on its factory boost clock.

Hope this helps.

oh I forgot you can use the Auto undervolt also it works well.

omg thanks. I undervolted it, adjusted the fan curve and now i doesnt even make it to 70 degrees. :D
