When I put the parts into pcbuild it gives me this note "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled." Does this mean that I won't be able to install the WD Blue drive?

It means if you use the Samsung SSD, from the six SATA ports; two will be disabled.

So that means you still have four slots left, one of which will be used for your WD Blue HDD. So you still have three ports for anything other than your SSD and HDD (like more SSD's, HDD's or optical drives).

So TL;DR:

Hi!

I'm building my first PC and I bought a MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max motherboard with a Ryzen 3900x CPU. I bought a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB and a WD Blue 1TB PC Hard Drive - 7200 RPM Class, SATA 6. When I put the parts into pcbuild it gives me this note "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled." Does this mean that I won't be able to install the WD Blue drive? are there enough SATA 6 ports on the motherboard for both of them? Please explain in simple words lol. As I said, new to PC building :)

How would I know which one's are disabled?

Bad decision.  the 970 evo is a terrible ssd for what you pay. You will be able to add the drive though, without concern.

Bad decision. That motherboard will barely be able to power the CPU, absolutely no oc'ing, and the 970 evo is a terrible ssd for what you pay. You will be able to add the drive though, without concern.

What motherboard would you recommend?

The product page or manual of your motherboard tells you.

Quote

SATA5 and SATA6 ports will be unavailable when installing a M.2 device in M.2 slot.

The top ones are disabled.

But like @Brok3n But who cares?  said, this B450 board might not be a good fit for a 3900X (didn't see you were going to use that CPU before).

An ASUS X570-P or Aorus X570 Elite would be a better choice.
