I'm in the process of shopping for a motherboard.  The board i'm looking for is a B450.  Everywhere i'm looking, it's out of stock.  But their's a MSI X570 board in stock for obviously a little more in price which i dont mind.  My question to you is should I wait for a B450 to come in stock or just buy a X570 even though right now I have no need for Plce 4.0 express.  What places that do have the B450 in stock is way overpriced, more than a X570.

Which MSI X570 board and what CPU are you using in the system?

Right now I have a Ryzen 5 3600 on hand but I'm able to bring it back for a Ryzen 7 if needed

You should quote us so that we can see your responses.

Cheap MSI X570 boards are pretty bad, I'd pick basically any other cheap AIB X570 model.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus Atx

That board is barely any better than an okay B450 board and there are even B450 boards better than this one.

I would look for an alternative, whether it's B450 or X570.

I woud get a Tier C or better, if you want the ability to use a Ryzen 7 in the board later.

Something like MSI B450 Gaming Plus, Tomahawk or Mortar will work

Or X570: Asus X570-P
