I have a gtx 770 sitting a for a few years and decided to put it into use. I got a all components for that and a gtx 680 I also had sitting.

Im testing it before installing it in case. The card was running fine at 1920x1080 when installing basic programs. When I got geforce experience to install drivers is when pc went crazy. After installing drivers screen went to 800x600 and display cant be change. Screen seems to lag. I try uninstall graphics and install again drivers for thar card directly from website. I put a gtx 1070 and system work flawlessly. I switch back to the gtx 770 with same issue. The gtx 680 had the same issue as the 770. I switch the gtx 770 to another computer with a gtx 1060 3gb same specs. The system was running at 1080p but gpuz was not detecting the card. Userbenchmark.com didn't use the gpu. I updated the graphic drivers and the same issue occur. However, gpuz was able to read card. The card is correct. I change the thermal paste and clean card with no success. When I update the graphic driver a little message appears at the bottom that says "force reinstall graphics drivers"

Any ideas?

My PC runs a 4GB 770 and I recently troubleshot a friend's new build using the card, with the latest Nvidia drivers neither system had any instability issues and ran fine so whatever the issue is i limited to your system.

Im starting to think it might be a hardware problem on the gtx 770/680. I try putting different vbios on the gtx 770 and nothing. I left the working most recent one. I switch it to a new computer, same results.

Anyone know what it can be?
