PC upgrade advice

Hi guys, 

I am planning on upgrading my PC to run Warzone at higher fps, currently getting 60-80, but I would like around 130-150.

My current specs are: 

Motherboard - Asus B250m-k

CPU - i5 6400, upgrade to i7 6700?

RAM - 16gb Corsair vengeance 2400  

GPU - Asus strix r9 380 4gb, upgrade to GTX 1070?

Would this be appropriate, if not any other suggestions?

Go AMD. Get the Ryzen 3600.

Upgrade GPU to GTX 1680 Ti if money allows.

What is your budget? Where do you live?

OK. I am afraid it would be a bit difficult to get that high FPS with that budget. @Fasauceome@TheDailyProcrastinator maybe you can help? I can't think of anything besides getting a GTX 1670 instead of a 1070--newer doesn't always mean more expensive. Also get Ryzen 3 3100 CPU. Don't get 6th gen Intel.

 

Edit: Also get faster RAM if you are going AMD

hopefully your core components are quite good, like the PSU, since you don't want to use a crappy power supply on a decent system.

Getting a used i7 7700k is only worth it if you can get it for less than a new R5 3600 (preferably a good amount less). I would go higher on the GPU end if possible, I am assuming this is all used hardware you are considering?

Thanks, instead of buying the ram, could I just re-use my current 16gb Corsair vengeance 2400 as I recently purchased these or are they not compatible?

Nvidia is launching new hardware this summer so it could be a good time to pick up a good used 1080 or 1080Ti for a reasonable price.

Compatible, but might not provide very good performance, so you should buy the Ryzen CPU and motherboard, see how the performance goes for you, and then once you sell your current stuff you can buy new ram with that money if you need it
