Dark Rock Pro 4 or Dark Rock TF?

Zack Brown
Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

Looking at Guru3D's reviews, it looks like the TF performs 3 degrees better, but at the cost of 6db extra noise, so the Pro 4 will be the better performer once they are matched in fan speeds.

If your case can fit the DRP4, then I'd go for that.

I have a NZXT H440, i7-6700K, Asus Z170-A, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz, EVGA GTX 1080 FTW.

I need to choose between the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 and the Dark Rock TF. Which one would be the better, keeping in mind case restrictions?

I can only choose between those 2, so while I appreciate other fan recommendations they won't be needed in this case.

CPU: Intel i7-6700k - GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW - Motherboard: Asus Z170-A - RAM: Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB 3000MHz - CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro GTX H110i - PSU: EVGA SUPERNOVA 650W P2 - Case: NZXT H440 White/Black - OS: Windows 10 Home - Mouse: Logitech G502 - Keyboard: Corsair Strafe Cherry MX Red RGB

If a case can fit a dark rock pro 4, it's basically not restricted. The pro 4 is the better performer.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I have the Pro and two things I noted

1. Temps are great 37 at idle on an open bench

2. I keep looking at it because I can't believe it isn't make any noise at all, it is ridiculously silent.

I have not put it under any load at the moment though but at idle very quiet.
