RX 5700 or RTX 2060

I don't see the ponit in fixing a fan curve - it is possible, I get that. But I would get a card that does it flawlessly out of the box. And this is NOT the Evoke sadly.

 

Even if it is "cheap" - spend some bucks extraand get it right....in Germany we have a saying: "Wer billig kauft, kauft immer zweimal" - meaning: "One why buys cheap buys twice". So save yourself some hassle and buy once - and buy right.

While I can agree with that philosophy, I believe when the price of a fancy AIB card comes too close to the price of the next level performance base card, it's not worth it anymore.

 

Example, I don't think a $460 5700xt is worth it vs. a basic $499 2070 Super.

Well most of the 5700XTs, even the fancy ones, are cheaper than a 2070 super which is only 8% faster than the 5700XT. I personally think that the 5700XT is the by far better option right now IF you do not need NVENC. I mean the 8% the 2070 super brings more to the table, for by far more money (here in Germany at last - around 100 bucks difference), the 2070 super makes no sense.

 

The 2070 makes even less sense right now. If a 2070 super was at the mentioned price - OK - I agree. But the 2070 is pretty much pointless right now as the 5700 XT brings the same performance for less.Just NVENC for streaming could be a thing here - but AMD can stream as well...

yeah, now i can relate.

 

But i am about to buy a 5700 non xt, bc it really comes better in my wallet...

And previosly i was thinking about buying a normal rtx 2060...

 

I really dont have the money for a much better gpu.

Not even thinking about streaming. And yes those two GPUs are about 100 € difference in germany. But as i said, the money is kind a problem here..

If money is kind of a problem and streaming not planned - go AMD. The value is insane. The 5700 and 5700 XT are really good options - even long term imho if you go at max 1440p.Even the non XT model can go 1440p without issues. Those are really reasonable priced - and the Sapphire Pulse is a really great option in the "budget" range at this level.

Alright - not really gonna game at 1440p but there are a few different 5700s.

Own this one myself - 100% recommend it. Quiet, fast, solid build. IMHO the best aftermarket Design out there besides the Power Color Red Devil and Sapphire Nitro Plus. 

 

Runs pretty good in my PC since December 2019.

 

DO NOT Install MSI Dragon Center or MSI Afterburner. They cause issues system wide and Dragon Center causes loss of performance. The AMD Radeon Software hast got all the tools you need - also fpr OC and Fan Control. Afterburner is NOT needed!!!!

No its not 750 watts for the non XT. I run mine with a 600 Watts Bquiet Pure Power 11 600 Watts 80 Plus Gold PSU. The Corsair you have is on the cheaper side - but should do the job  as the GPU draws aroung 180 Watts. If you run intu issues, what I to not assume, switch to a 80 plus gols multi rail PSU like the BeQUiet Pure Power 11 600 Watts. This should be than appropriate if you use both PCI-E Cables (no daisy chaning) to run the card. But the Corsair should be enough for the non XT 5700 Radeon.
