RX 5700 or RTX 2060

Kraudi

Gonna build a brand new computer, but not sure what GPU i should get.

So personally i am thinking of an RX 5700 or about the RTX 2060.

But is the RX 5700 able to compete with the RTX 2060?

The gpu dye is the same the only difference is the cooler and whats on the pcb. So just make sure you're getting one with a good cooler and you should be fine.

Definitely go with the RX 5700, no question about it, it's cheaper and has better performance!

So if i am gonna get a radeon rx 5700, is ist worth getting a rx 5700 xt ?

Or is there not that much difference in performance as in costs?

if you have the budget for it and it's not much more expensive than the 5700, yes

those are same cards. AMD is of course, faster. But if you want ray tracing, go with nvidia

The 5700 xt falls only 8% short of a 2070 super and competes with the 2070 - I guess it can be worth the price when you game in 1440p. But please avoid the Asus TUF - it has absolutely no VRAM cooling and is therefore unstable (asus has messed up their complete AMD Navi lineup so far) The MSI Gaming X, Power Color Red Devil, Sapphire Nitro+ and Gigabyte Gaming OC and Aorus cards are really great models. Also avoid MSI Mech (loud hot), MSI Evoke (cooling issues, loud), Asrock Challenger (hot, loud) and ASrock Taichi (too expensive for the lack of cooling).

XFX RAW II works great as a low-end model, I can vouch. With some tweaking, it works out.

Looks pretty ugly though and the name is stupid as shit, though

no more driver issues, there is nothing to worry about anymore. The 2060 is only a better option if he intends to use RTX

both pretty weak

I would have preferred retro names.

XFX COOL III (THICC III)

XFX COOL II (THICC II)

XFX RAD II ( RAW II)

XFX <just GPU name> (DD)

XFX Cards also run too hot. Would not recommend that brand right now. Other brands have similar priced models as well with better cooling colutions (Sapphire, Power Color, Gigabyte).

It's fine if its cheap and you don't mind adjusting your own fan curve. Emphasis on cheap. $369 is what I mean. They also don't give a shit if you overclock. They'll RMA stuff if it breaks.

Mine runs under 75 on the core, under 80 on the memory junction temp, under 70 on the vr vddc, and under 90 on the hotspot, with a 2150mhz p3 @ 1175mv

Sorry - new here - screwed up by posting in the wrong spot. Sorry.

I see no point in fixen a fan curve by myself it it is the vendors job. So I cannot recommend XFX. Sorry. Not right now.
