Epic Games launcher installation error

I left my PC downloading Epic Games launcher while I was busy working on something else. When I come back I saw "The necessary prerequisites have failed to install". By some googling I found out that this error is generally caused by one of two things. The first is a prompt requesting administrator access.  If you ignore, don't see, or deny this request, the install will result in this error. In my case I ignored it. The desktop shortcut it created didn't worked but the start menu shortcut did and by running the launcher again the installation skipped the downloading part and went straight to installation since the files were already downloaded. I'm afraid that I somehow messed up setup installation and being a OCD Perfectionist it's bothering me a lot. I was almost done with formatting and reinstalling every app back into my boot drive but I got this error.

 

So far the launcher is running fine, I don't see any error but it's still bothering me. What should I do? Should I repair the launcher, re-install it or on a extreme side format and reinstall everything again? I'm probably thinking about formatting and starting from scratch. What you guys think? You guys are more educated in this matter than me.

Well it just adds missing files if you installed it in the default folder it doesn't break anything if the application is set up well

 Can you elaborate on that more? I don't understand, are you talking about repair option?

What I mean is if the launcher fails the files are in the folder right but some are not there the ones that should come after the fail when you reinstall it just detects the already installed ones and adds the last ones
