RTX Voice not detecting Mic

Hi there,

I've been trying to setup RTX Voice for the last few days. So every single time I'm trying to open it it says [Pic.]. I do have a mic and headphones indeed (AunaMic 900B+Logitech G430) and I'm using them every day. Did anyone already had those problems and how did you fix them? (And yes I did try the Nvidia Support page and have been waiting 3hrs without any help).

When I check the log it says:

2020-04-27,10:51:29: Logging session started
2020-04-27,10:51:29: App version: v0.5.12.6
2020-04-27,10:51:29: Initializing microphone pipeline.
2020-04-27,10:51:29: Initializing effect
2020-04-27,10:51:40: error in nvAudCapCheckDefaultEndpoint
2020-04-27,10:51:40: NvAFXPLUGIN_InitializeEffect failed.

Sincerely

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this will help, but I had the same issue myself, and managed to figure it out. The problem that I had created for RTX Voice was that I had disabled the NVIDIA RTX Voice speakers under the Playback tab of the Windows Sound Control Panel. At the time, I did it because I thought there was no use to having the RTX Voice speakers there, but disabling it is what prevents the application starting up in the first place. To solve this, I had to launch up RTX Voice, and as it was starting up, located the RTX Voice Speakers under Playback and quickly enabled them before it spewed the error, and that seemed to have fixed the problem.

Once again, my situation for the error is quite specific, so if you have not by chance disabled any RTX Voice Playback or Recording in the Sound Control Panel, then I am afraid this solution might not work for you. Check it anyways, perhaps it might've been disabled automatically for some reason, but this was the issue I encountered and the solution I managed to find.

Im getting the issue that it isn't listed in the Playback devices, and I have an RTX 2080 Super, it will work for around a week, then stop, then appear again, and now its just gone. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Please check another Playback devices list when the application starting up.

In my case, RTX Voice Speakers only appeared in this list.

(Sorry for Japanese image...)

SOLVED! Thank you, I never thought to try re-opening the client to get the speaker to appear. So much for a clean speaker selection list!

Yep... I made the same mistake of disabling it, because why use it anyway? I wondered if that was why, but never would have known about starting it up and quickly enabling it. Thanks! :D

You're a saint. It's likely a lot of people are upgrading from RTX Voice and in the process having issues removing RTX voice like I did so as a troubleshooting step I disabled the devices in control panel. However it seems to have carried over to the new installation.

Throwing some more of the terms I googled and found nothing for so others can find this.
nvAudCapCheckDefaultEndpoint

NvAFXPLUGIN_InitializeEffect failed

nvidia broadcast could not start mic pipeline

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was going !@#$ing crazy trying to fix my audio, that solution worked perfectly.

Я удалил NVIDIA Broadcast и еще раз установил RTX Voice, после этого RTX Voice запустился. Возможно они между собой как-то конфликтуют и не запускаются
