Ryzen master OCing

So I'm messing with ryzen master, and I noticed there are 2 voltage settings, peak and average. Which one should I tweak for OC? And whats the max for ryzen? Some have said 1.4 is fine, others said thats too much, etc. It's at 4.2GHz stable right now with the peak at the default of 1.1875v

I'd stay away from high voltages but that seems good, 1.400V is way to high for 3rd gen Ryzen.

The guide says to use PBO but I heard from other guides and websites that PBO doesn't boost all cores, only single threaded. I mean is that fine for me for just gaming (and maybe streaming later)? I don't do editing so I guess I don't need an insane multi thread OC, but I just want the most juice without damaging my chip, cus I'm gonna be using it a long while.

The guide also says a ton of other stuff, most abbreviations I haven't learned yet, but reading through some comments it seems the max stable OC people are getting with this chip is only 4.3 anyway, so I'll just leave mine at 4.2 with stock settings. Stays at a nice cool 65c on stress load, and 4.2 doesn't seem to be bad at all for all cores.

PBO makes the most sense regardless, for the most part 3rd gen Ryzen does not OC much at all. TBH for the past 5+ years I have OC'd every single overclock-able CPU I have owned, all except for the R7 3800x I have now, I have temporarily done so to see what it can do but that is it. Low voltage is key for long term use.

I have squeezed the most performance out of my RAM, OC'd my 3200MHz kit to 3466MHz and tightened up my timings, that has yielded a the best results for me. And honestly I am okay with it, I never really invested the time in memory OC'ing until now, kinda made it fun. My highest OC was on my i7-8700k and it was the same thing I had done for years prior so it was quick and easy, which means it was boring haha. Ryzen overall (but 3rd gen in particular) has been a new experience which is good.

4.2GHz is good, keep in mind that one CPU can vary greatly to another, if you are stable then I would not worry about it.
