mikrotik vps

i was going to buy a cheap server for my webserver backups i normally get ubuntu or centos everytime but this time i wanted to try something else eveeything was normal as usual but then i found mikrotik

after a little bit of research i got some info about it but why would somebody want routeros on a virtual server

If you have multiple vps, it makes sense to have a virtual router to control what traffic goes into and out of your vps. A lot of the normal routing and network layout stuff applies to the virtual world aswell.
