Hi,

After 5 years of service, my Cooler Master V750 died on me recently. I'm looking to replace it with something similar in perf' & quality.

Thing is, budget is tight and the list of available ones in my area are limited -Like, VERY limited

I used the tier list of this forum, and the only one that's half decent and I could squeez in my budget is the Cooler Master Master MWE Gold 750 fully modular, which is a B+ on the chart.

Is it any good ?

PC Specs:
- R9 390X
- Stock 6600k
- 16GB of RAM

- HDD

- 4 120mm case fans

The 550w version of that unit will also work just fine.

I would recommend a Thermaltake Smart series 700w PSU which can be purchased for $54.99 USD, these system specs should be good to run on this power supply.

Zoom in on Front Zoom. Thermaltake - SMART 700W ATX 80 Plus Power Supply - Black.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

Isn't it a tier lower than the C.M. ?

A Corsair CM series power supply is 80 plus bronze certified, while the Thermaltake Smart 700w PSU is 80 Plus Standard Certified. There is not that much of a difference to be honest, you will get 2 to 5 percent better efficiency with bronze certified in comparison to standard 80+ certification which shouldn't make any significant difference in terms of operation costs or amount of additional energy used.

A CX750m will cost $104.99 USD which is almost double the cost of the Thermaltake Smart 700w ($54.99 USD).

5 years old? Hmm... The Cooler Master V750 came with 5 years warranty. Maybe if you're lucky it's still within the 5 year warranty period. I would recommend contacting Cooler Master customer support and seeing if they will replace it for you.

OP asked for something similar in quality to a V750, not an EVGA W1. Bad suggestion. Also they were asking about the Cooler Master MWE Gold, not the Corsair CXM.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

It died exactly at 5 years and 12 days.
But It does not realy matter, as in my region (North Africa), there's no regional support of any kind, no matter the brand.

On a side note, I noticed that the Thermaltake Smart PRO RGB is also B tier, how does it compare to the MWE 750w Gold ?

EDIT: The Thermaltake is a B tier, while the Cooler Master is actually a B+, same price here, so no hesitation.
