How new is this card

Is it as good as the reviews?

Anyone with hands on experience

EVGA Kingpin is a series of cards, so I could not tell you how new/old this card is as there have been EVGA Kingpin cards as far back as the 900-series and earlier, which are coming up on 5 years of age.

Which cards are you talking about? RTX 2080 Ti? 2080 Super? etc.

What gpu are you talking about? I highly recommend kingpin cards for overclocking, they have the best PCBs and overclocking features out of every other aftermarket card. The rtx 2080 ti kingpin is in a league of its own with three 8 pin power connectors and a 16+3 vrm and  guaranteed samsung memory with binned chips. I would say if you do not plan on overclocking it you can get away with a cheaper card because kingpins are specially designed for the xoc community

Hello and welcome.

If you want the best then you buy a KingP|n, but for many it's overkill.  Those who overclock their cards on the stock cooler won't fully utilize what it's built for until they get into LN2 cooling.

I like that they put an AIO on it this series for those looking to buy the best just to have the best.

^^^ Basically this, assuming you mean the 2080 Ti. It's an extreme overclocking card, not really a normal consumer one. It has an AIO for usability and for people who want to buy a Kingpin just because they can (and believe me, I would if I had the budget). It'll likely go quite far on the AIO, but it's built for - and has a second BIOS for - LN2 overclocking if you really mean to push the card.

If you aren't planning to push the card and don't mind stepping down one tier, the FTW3 is also an amazing card, I believe they have both air and AIO versions of these.
