Hi,

Today I upgraded my cpu from a ryzen 3 1200 to a ryzen 7 2700x. But I get no screen and I can't turn off the pc with the power button. I have done a update of the bios and the board (msi gaming plus b350) should be compatible with the ryzen 7 2700x. Can you guys help me out?

What version did you update to?

Yes I did

Sorry saw it too late and updated my question. What version did you update too? There's usually multiple versions on the msi site. I'd first try it with the old cpu again to see if everything still works.

It depends on the boards manufacturing date but if you just updated it should not be a problem.

The versions should be here: (your cpu code should be YD27BXBAM88AF)

The old cpu still works, already tried it. But I found a led on the board. Looked it up on the manual: "indicates CPU is not detected or fail." is my new cpu broken?

Try the 7A34vMF bios. You have a beta bios atm and well it's beta can easily have issues. Also what's your psu? Could also be a power issue. Of course as you said the cpu could also just be doa.

Does the old CPU work still

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

Whoops looks like you already answered that before.

Yeah if the new CPU doesn't work, and the BIOS is updated, hard to imagine the new CPU isn't at fault. Last thing I'd try is an older BIOS, one that isn't beta, and potentially borrow a friend's ram to see if there's some weird compatibility problem.
