You honestly don't need to go with a samsung 970 evo. They are great drives but overpriced. An XPG will get you incredible performance for less of a hit on the wallet.

Heck even sata ssd will be night and day compared to the WD Blue

You're better off getting an i7 than overpriced RAM. Get a used 7700K. That i5 is a major bottleneck these days

If you're okay with changing the board too yes, wait for Ryzen 4000 series in September

No, 2400MHz RAM is very very slow. Aim for 3600MHz CL16 or lower latency.

As for the SSD - the Crucial P1 or HP Elite models are MUCH better value

Hey thanks for your reaction! As you can see in the attached picture, can my cpu be compatible with a ram speed of 3600MHz? Also i compared the 970 evo to the crucial p1 and the 970 evo seems to be a lot faster. 😬

I hope to get a reply! thanks,

That's for stock values - you can easily get faster RAM to work. It's actually highly recommended else you'll just be crippling yourself with slow memory.

As for SSD speeds - unless you're moving massive 100GB files, you will not notice the speed difference as everything will be extremely fast. So whether your game opens in 1 second or 1.4 seconds is utterly irrelevant when you can get a bigger SSD or save some money.

Okay thanks a lot! One last question. My motherboard specs say 3800MHz. But is that the limit or can i use higher speed ram like with the cpu?

Anything past 3600 is a waste of money as it's a case of diminishing returns. The jump from 2400 to 3600 is about 5% more CPU performance but from 3600 to 4200 you only get ~0.5% more performnace

Okay its clear for me! Thanks for taking your time!
